The woods
Darkness is not dark enough to explain that night. You could not see your hand in front of your face, only the glow of her hour glass back projected by a headlight. The dog was our guide. To us it was an enternity, time has a way of passing fast when you can't see the light. The beast disappear in the woods like a phantom. As we walk all we here is the grass being ruffled by the beast steps ahead. Looking into the canopy all i see is stars for there is no moon, only the woods. The glimpse of light come out of her smile. To run into her lips makes everything glow clearer. Her head in your lap as your hands trail her head down to her body. Both waiting for the sun to come along.
The hopeless romantic shows his face again, looking to create castles in the sky. Trailing her contour making the land based on her body. To wake and see the sun come out of her lips. You no longer know what time it is. You don't need to, you are here and you are now. You know his early death is near, for you can't create castles in the sky nor see the sun come out of her lips.
